In 1846, a Catholic family from County Clare, James & Honora Taylor Hickey died months apart, due to the Potato Famine it is believed, leaving five children homeless. David 15, John 13, Thomas 6, Margaret 3 and Catherine about 1 or 2. David went to the U.S., while John & Thomas went to Scotland to tend sheep. David sent money for his four siblings to go to the U.S. about 1851. We know nothing about the two girls from 1846 until the four siblings, nor do we know where John & Thomas lived while in Scotland. Their priest in Ireland might have found them a place in Scotland.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Roots Ireland has very few Co. Clare RC parishes on their data base. I searched on the new integrated RC parish register data base on Find My Past and searched for baptismal records for all five children with no record found. Same with a marriage record. Many Co. Clare parishes do not have records back to the 1830s.
Can I suggest that you look into autosomal DNA testing.
