Looking for any info on McKeegan/McArdle. Thomas McKeegan and Bridget McArdle were married in November 1860 at Ballyhaise. They lived in Butlersbridge area possibly Tullybuck in Upper Loughtee. Parents of Thomas born 1830 were Patrick McKeegan and Alice Rolands. Bridget born 1840 parents were Philip McArdle and Annie O'Connell.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located three baptismal records on Roots Ireland but the first of the three is questionable because of the townland and the maiden name was shown as Keegan. The 1867 and 1871 records look valid.
I checked the 1901 census for Butlersbridge and did not see any McKeegan families.
Here is a link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0814

Wow Thanks Roger. They moved around a lot within the area Killeshandra, Belturbet Drumlane etc. My great grandfather Joseph was born 1874 at Tullybuck. They were found in Glasgow in 1875. I have their sons Patrick 1867 and Patt (John in Glasgow) 1869. Butlersbridge. Thanks for your help.

A Dominick McKeegan from Belturbet was a godfather in 1864 for Thomas & Bridgets daughter Alice.

I saw the record for Joseph but discounted the record because of the mother's maiden name. However, now that I think about it McArdle could sound like McCarroll. See below.

I think Mary died as they came to Glasgow in 1875 and she was not in the 1881 Census. My Dad looked for ages for the surname Keegan to find out they were actually McKeegan. Got Thomas death after years of searching. His surname was Keegans. When I saw the original document the 's' was actually a comma. Sometimes proof readers get it wrong. Thanks again.
