I have posted before concerning this James Ryan and thanks to information given me on this board have located additional information.
I am now looking for specific information on James- birth record if possible
He did marry Catherine Henson Ja 09,1855 at St Mary's Athlone. States on record his address as Bonnavally. Westmeath but I do not find a birth record for him. I did find CAtherine Hensons= born to William and Bridget Feeney 1935. I would assume James was born around this area but the only bc i can find is for 11 aug 1839 st James Athlone to James Ryan and Ester fizgerald......could this be the correct james? sponsor a Michael Ryan

The townland is likely Bunnavally in St. Mary's civil parish. The RC records for St. Mary's Athlone go back to 1813 but there appears to be a gap between 1827-1839 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0178 so if James was from that parish, it appears his baptismal record will not be available. Where did you find the record for Catherine Henson?
