  • Mallon is a very common name in Co Tyrone. Looking at the 1911 census there were 411 of them in the county. They won't all be related. It would be helpful if you could give us the townlands your ancestors lived in together with some names and years of birth or emigration to point you in the right direction.

  • My family name in Arboe is Mallon - we're probably related.  Have you ever been there, in particular to Mallon's Bar in Arboe?  My gg grandmother was Ellen Mallon born ca. 1835 whose parents were John Mallon and Mary Ann O'Neill.  She had a sister Mary Ann b. 1836 and a brother Patrick b. 1838.  Their townland was Killygonlan.
