Looking for the Timothy and Catherine Riordan family. They were married at St. Finbarr's South Catholic church... still there .... They lived on Travers street before Tim emigrated @ 1880 and came through Philadelphia. She followed about 2 years later. eventually settled in Chicago. Trying to find Irish family in Cork, on Marriage certificate show his father named David and her father named Cornelius. Thats as far as i can trace back. Frustrated needless to say. The name Riordan or O'Riordan is a common name in Cork City. So close but yet so far!

Hi Nancy
I couldn't find the marriage record on www.rootsireland.ie/ but did find this baptism:
What is Catherine & Cornelius's surname?

Hi!! Thanks for that great info... what parish is it from? Catherine and Cornelius name was Quinlan. Have another question,
Found another childs name listed in the birth records , county cork, to Tim & Catherine.... but when Catherine brought over the children later, this MaryKate was not on the ship manafest or anything else going forward. Just assumed she passesd sometime before they sailed, are there any civil death records to search? Also checked with St. Finbarr's South and they
did not have any record of her death. a real mystery..... thanks again for any help!

Hi Nancy,
Parish was Macroom.
No luck finding Catherine with father Cornelius in any county on www.rootsireland.ie/ I'm afraid.
No death/burial for a young Riordan either.
If you haven't already you might check www,irishgenealogy.ie/. It is good for Cork records.
Try the church and civil records
