Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Not finding good leads. I located an 1827 baptismal record for a David Cashman which was in Midleton one parish to the east of Carrigtwohill. The only record in Carrigtwohill was in 1835. The father was not John in either case. I also could not find a marriage record. Here is a link to the Carrigtwohill parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0026
Any other clues? Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?
