Hi, I have searched everywhere I can think of for the marriage of Margaret Egan and Michael Cormican. They are in both census as living at 1 Ballyglass. Hope somebody can help. Thanks.
Mary.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I can't find the civil marriage index record on Find My Past or www.irishgenealogy.ie It appears the marriage was not civilly registered. Is it possible they married in England or Scotland and came back. According to the 1911 census they were married around 1873. I did find the civil birth record for Mary in 1876 which is below. You will have to sign-in to see the record. They were living in Cranna at that time which I believe is Crannagh townland in Tynagh civil parish. The RC parish would be Tynagh and when I looked on Roots Ireland the church record did not come up. Roots indicates that they have the Tynagh marriage records starting in 1809 but that some records are missing.Maybe the 1873 records are missing. The NLI site has the parish register but marriages only go to 1842.

Hi Roger, many thanks for your reply. I have also searched irish genealogy, find my past, roots ireland and family search all to no avail. The civil birth cert you found is for their daughter Mary. I thought even having Margaret Egans parents names would make it easier....it doesn't. I will however try your suggestion of them maybe having married outside Ireland....it is something I never considered. Again, many thanks for your help. Mary.
