I am desperate to find anything on my grandfather...hopefully baptism records. I believe I am entitled to an Irish citizenship and passport. My grandfather is William Michael Bride...born in Ireland in 1842...emigrated to Australia with my great grandparents Henry Nelson Bride and Ellen Bride (nee Bourke) and his siblings in 1858 and died in Melbourne Australia in 1907. If it is possible to find out anything, I will be eternally grateful. I have been to Ireland 3 times now but all to no avail!
thankyou in anticipation
regards
Jeremy Bride

There are possible baptisms of some of the children in Castlemagner RC parish, Co. Cork - no sign that's I've found so far of a baptism for William, might be worth a closer browse of the register to see if others show up..
Ellen, 13 Jun 1850, residence Sally's Cross
James, 05 Sep 1852 residence Bannonlack
Robert, 13 Jul 1854
parents Henry Bride & Ellen Burke.p.s. just wondering about the date & ages - William is showing as age 6 on the passenger list, which if dated 1858 and he was born c1842 does not seem correct ?
