Searching for information on my great-grandfather Michael J Townsend born 03 Jan 1853 in Callan, Kilkenny.  Arrived in the United States in 1871 and lived in the Boston, Massachusetts, area.  He died 05 Mar 1923 in Somerville, MA, USA.  Father believed to be John Townsend (about 1828 – to possibly 1876) and mother Margaret Cassin (birth unknown and death after last known child in 1869).   Possible siblings were Patrick Townsend (birth 16 Mar 1865 in Kilkenny), Anne Townsend (birth 12 May 1867 in Kilkenny), and Margaret Townsend (birth 08 Oct 1869 in Kilkenny).  Picutre is possibly Michael.  Thank you

    I looked on Roots Ireland and found at least six siblings to Michael and it does not appear that Margaret died in 1869. See baptismal record for Ellen below. Also Michael was baptized in late August.
