Correction: I have discovered that my Michael Collins (abt 1796), Anthony Collins (abt 1798) and Honora Collins (abt 1798)O'Brien (Cornelius) have a 4th sibling-Austin Collins also of Kilkee,. 3 of the children of the next generationall b. Kilkee who were previously noted as belonging to Anthony and wife Mary actually were the children of Austin (aft 1798) and wife Mary. They were Anthony b 1834, d. Mar1897 Davenport, IA (emigrated abt. 1851); Bridget, b Aug 2, 1837-d.Nov 17, 1889 Davenport, IA, bur. St. Mary'sCem; and John b Jan 18, 1840-d Aug 15, 1902, St. Louis, MO, bur St Mary's Cem , Davenport, IA (emigrated 1850 NY>Philadelphia> Davenport, Iowain 1857>St. Louis, Missouri until his death) I have additional information on the children of Anthony's Nancy Ann Collins Enright (Richard b 181825, Kilkee to Timothy & Mary Enright) and of Austin's son Anthony & Margaret Campbell's children and of Honora Collins & Cornelius O'Brien's sons Thomas O'Brien b 1831-d Dec 21, 1856 Davenport and John C. O'Brien b Jun 24, 1833-d Mar 23, 1905. He was married to his cousin Margaret O'Brien, dau. of John O'Brien who was b.Feb 17, 1863 in Canada. Please contact me if you see any connections to these families. My main goal is to discover when & where my Maternal Gr-Grandfather, John Collins, son of Michael and Joanna Purcel/Purcel/Purcil, and his three siblings were born. I suspect that he too lived in or around Kilkee. He died at the age of 48 in St. Louis, Mo, leaving his widow, Eliza Fitzpatrick dau of Parick & Mary McNamara Fitzpatrick of Co. Clare, to move her 4 children to live where his cousins were in the home John had previously built for her in Davenport, Iowa. Jo Banks

Dear Jo:
Many thanks for your very informative post to Ireland Reaching Out. I will make contact with some of the volunteers in the Kilkee area on your behalf and alert them to the information that you have gathered for this family.
Please keep checking back to see if new or further information from other researchers is placed on the Message board.
Kind regards,
Jane.

The earliest surviving parish records for Kilkee go back only to 1836 and have never been microfilmed, but you have probably consulted them on your previous visits to Kilkee.
There are a couple of Mich'l Collinses in the Tithe Applotment Book for Kilfearagh parish at
http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/tithe_applot/kilfear…
who might fit the bill.
There are also a number of people with Collins ancestry from around Kilkee in the DNA databases. I can give you a list of GEDmatch.com kit numbers if you have anyone to compare to them.
I can see from this message and from your earlier message at
http://www.irelandxo.com/ireland/clare/kilfearagh/message-board/collins…
that you have done extraordinarily well to get as far back as you have already done.
