Sullivan's of Limerick

Your Sullivans will be hard to locate. There are many Margaret Sullivan Co. Kerry baptismal records on www.irishgenealogy.ie which is a free site. Without her parents names, you can't confirm any of these records. Presuming the marriage occurred in Kerry, I only foound one Andrew Sullivan/Margaret Sullivan marriage record and it was in 1828.

The only Andrew Sullivan baptismal record in Co. Limerick between 1823-1833 is the 1832 record below. There were no Andrew Sullivan/Margaret Sullivan marriages on Roots Ireland in Co. Limerick. Maybe the couple married in Canada.

Not sure if I mentioned autosomal DNA testing previously.

Roger, Thank you!  As usual you are very helpful!  Yes, the marriage could have taken place in Canada.  I need to check that out.  Also, Connor comes into the family as witnesses in Chicago and maybe earlier in South Bend, Indiana, USA.  An Alice O'Connor Kett (Mrs. William B. Kett) ended up as the "suposed guardian" of two Sullivan boys after their father Timothy E. Sullivan died (Oct 31, 1899 in Chicago) and their mother divorced her 2nd husband Feb. 1907 in Chicago.

No, you did not say anything about autosomal DNA --if you did I missed it.   I have taken the Ancestry.com DNA test as has my two living sisters, my brother and the nephew of my paternal grandfather George Joseph (AKA William) White.  They were all matches of "immediate family."  Sullivan's are not really blood relatives of mine.  To my knowledge Bridget Delia E. Tahney Sullivan White had the two Sullivan boys but they never had any children.  The Sullivan boys and any children they may have had are deceased by now.  I do have the exact dates of their births, deaths and marriages.  My father and his female siblings are dead except for one female sibling.  Three of my father's sisters died at the age of 2 days, about 5-6 years unmarried, and at 20 unmarried and no children.  The only possible living person who might be able to be tested for "Sullivan"  DNA is Helen Ellen Marie White born 10 May 1910, daughter of Bridget Delia E. Tahney Sullivan White (AKA Sullivan after divorce) and George Joseph (AKA William) White. By 1920 Delia had already changed this child's surname from WHITE to SULLIVAN.

Delia died Oct 1922 and was divorced from George White.  I have found George White and his second family and there is no person in this family that matches up with Helen Ellen Marie White.  So her history and whereabouts in the USA are unknown.

Roger, I tried to find out how to separate my search and interest in WHITE'S/MOLONEY'S and SULLIVAN'S all of Limerick City and various parishes.   But I could not find out how to do that.  All my messaging ends up in the same place I guess.

This is starting to get too complicated for me and I am starting to get confused.  Sometimes I do not even know how I found "post a new message" or something like that.  JIM

After further research:

Andrew Sullivan may have been born in Co. Kerry abt 1831

His parents were Timothy Sullivan and Ellen Harte also of Co. Kerry.

He married Margarett Sullivan (her maiden name) 14 Feb 1860 in Guelph, Wellington, Ontario, Canada.

Her father was John Sullivan and her mother was Hanna Ketcher.of Co Kerry.

Margaarett Sullivan was born abt 1833-1839 in Co. Kerry.

She had a brother Stephen Sullivan born abt 1834, Ireland.

The Ancestry DNA test is an autosomal DNA test.

I searched www.irishgenealogy.ie for Andrw Sullivan baptismal records in Kerry from 1828-1832. There were about five records but none with the parents you listed.
