Greetings,
I hope this finds you well. I have been doing some family research on this side for a while and finally have made a break! I believe I found the baptism record for my ancestor...however, it is ineligible and I can't read it! Would you mind reading it for me please (attached to the message)? His name was Michael Bradley and he was baptised on January 23, 1817 in Kilnamartyra. Thanks so much!
Also, I have some Irish ancestors that emigrated to Heywood in England for some years before emigrating to Boston. When the Irish arrived in England, was there any place they had to register upon arrival and state where they came from in Ireland? I have the names of those who emigrated from Ireland to England, but have been unable to trace them back to where they were from in Ireland.
Thanks so much,
Pam

Welcome back!
I had to rely on the Roots Ireland transcription and then go back and look at the register. The father was also Michael but for some reason there is no mother listed. Did the priest fail to list the mother. Did she die during childbirth?
The sponsors were John Hawks and Honor Leary.
The family lived in Knockroe townland in Kilnamartyra.

Thanks so much for that! Really helpful. I'm not sure if she died in childbirth unfortunately.
I also wanted to follow up on my other question if you have any advice: I have some Irish ancestors that emigrated to Heywood in England for some years before emigrating to Boston. When the Irish arrived in England, was there any place they had to register upon arrival and state where they came from in Ireland? I have the names of those who emigrated from Ireland to England, but have been unable to trace them back to where they were from in Ireland. Thanks again!

Sorry I forgot your question. I don't think there is an arrival data source which might have county/parish information.Going from Ireland to England in the 19th century was travel within Great Britain and therefore they did not record country origin info. Your best bet would be census records or possibly marriage or death records.
