HENRY AND MARY SHARVIN

These ancestors of mine were born in the parish of Saul in 1780 and 1782 and were married there in November in 1808.

I know this from a Trinity House record of 1850 as Mary widowed by her seafaring husband asks for relief from  Trinity House funds for seafaring families.

She is living in Liverpool at this time with eight adult children.

The documents suggest that Henry joined the Merchant Navy as a boy and worked his way to captain of HMS Dispatch when he died.

Mary had an applotment in Kilclief in 1829.

Any information about the Sharvin family would be much appreciated.
