I know a bit about my Brannick ancestors but next to nothing about my great grandmother Brigid Glynn.  She married Patrick (Patsie) Brannick in 1854.  She was born in 1836 and died in 1921 (I think)   Her father was "Jimmy" Glynn .  Her mother's name was either Catherine Quinn or Mary Quinn from Cloonfad, Roscommon.  Or she could have been from a place called Irishtown.  Where should I start to find out more about Brigid Glynn.  The story is that she only had sisters!

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I could not locate a Bridget Glynn baptismal record on Roots Ireland with father James and mother with surname Quinn. I searched from 1831-1841 for all of Ireland.

I did find a 1901 census record for a family in Crossboyne parish. Is this your Bridget Brannick?

  • Thank you--that branch of Brannicks from Woodstock--I have no idea how they are connected with the Scardaun Brannicks.  I did find Brigid in Scardaun East living with her sons James and Michael.  Thank you so much and keep an ear open!!!
