My late grandfather was born in Swords in the early 1900s, he was Joseph O'Driscoll son of Cornelius Driscoll and Mary Salmon. Joseph moved to England in the 1950s to find work. He had 5 siblings, Cornelius who died unwed in his 60s from MS, Rose who died unwed aged 24, Mary who married Richard Maguire and had two sons, Mary died aged 40 due to pre eclampsia. Her husband and two sons moved to England. Anastasia died as a baby. Leaving Catherine, who married a William Walsh I believe. I think I may have located a few births of children they had, however... nothing confirmed. I can find no death for Catherine Walsh, no second marriage, I can't find her in England either. When grandad brother, Cornelius died, he left £125 and my grandad was the next of kin. So I believe Catherine may have died before the 1960s.
I know there are a lot of Walsh families around the Swords area, but I'm hoping to find any descendants of my great aunt Catherine and she's now the only one I haven't traced. My dad doesn't remember meeting any of his dad's siblings but he was 9 when he moved to England and two had already died by then.
I'm also intrigued by the Salmon line, and wondered if there is anybody tracing this family?
Regards
Jemma

Dear Jemma:
Many thanks for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board and welcome to the site!
We have a local volunteer in the Swords area who I will copy this post to, and she should be in touch with you in the next week or so.
With regard to your Salmon line, there are several others that I know of who are also researching this name. If you are interested in collaborating or sharing information, please email me at: jhalloranryan@irelandxo.com and I will foward your email to them.
Many thanks for your interest in Ireland Reaching Out!
Kind regards,
Jane.
