Hi William
this is an unusual query given the time and the date of death, the Coddington family lived at Oldbridge House on the banks of the river Boyne outside Drogheda but in County Meath, the family sold the house circa 1990 and it ended up in the ownership of the state and is now a vistior centre on the Battle of the Boyne which occurred in 1689 on the 1st July, this is now commerated on the 12th July as the calendar changed in the interim, the date of the ladies death.
This battle decided the heir to the British crown to this day and is the only major European War fought on Irish terriority. William of Orange defeated the Catholic King James II, your given name is William.
The family sold the house sometime after a robbery with terrorist links in the late 1980s I think, dates need checking but should turn up with a Google search, it was reported in the local media here they went to Canada.
After Cromwells visit here in 1649 and the siege of Drogheda a lot of people went to the Carolinas or were sent so to speak, the house can be seen here http://www.battleoftheboyne.ie/
I am not sure if the family came with William or Cromwell but have a book on the battle so can see if they are mentioned but there should be a lot of information on the family as they were well known in the Drogheda area, Drogheda is mainly in Louth but the Meath border meanders around the town.
Drogheda settled down after the Battle of the Boyn and became a major industrial and trading area, the query is a bit broad to give a specific answer, the Duke of Wellington had his family home in Meath about 25 miles from the Coddingtons and was said to be born in Dublin about 30 miles from Oldbridge.
Please revert if more specific query as there are active history groups in the area.
