Hi we are finally coming to Pomeroy (We are from Australia) my family  (The McCaughey's) & My Mums family (The Morris's)  we will be here 12th to 18th August  2017 (Saturday Thru To Thursday) we are staying in Cookstown

I hope to catch up with some of the family that I have never met (First vist to Ireland)

    I noticed that you had not received an acknowledgment of your message. We have very few parish liaisons in Northern Ireland. I notice we have one in Co. Tyrone in Kildress parish which is two parishes north of Pomeroy.  Not sure if she is still active but I will e-mail her to alert her to your message.

    My Dad Charles McCaughey was born in Fashglashagh, Dungannon
    His Dad John Aughnagar, Co. Tyrone Born 15/7/1871
    Johns Dad Bernard Born 1841 Married Mary Hughes 1848

    My Mum Vera (Mary Veronica) Morris was Born In Altaglushan, Pomeroy 12/5/1926
    Her Dad James Joseph Morris Was Born Donaghmore, Donegal 6/5/1900
    James Married Margaret Quinn 1900

    I have yet to find any living members of the McCaughey Family in Tyrone
    but I live in hope

    I have found a second cousin Brendan Holland
    And a first cousin Fiona McChann (Morris) so I hope to catch up with them
    when we get there.
