The records for Athboy RC parish go back to the late 1700s http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0902  and are included on Roots Ireland, however, all of my searches came up with no records other than an 1815 baptismal record for a Bridget Barry in Dunboyne parish which is on the opposite end of the county from Athboy.

I also tried looking for the marriage record in all available counties of Ireland with no record found.

Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?

Thanks for checking all that Roger. I had checked some parish records also and came up empty. I have had my DNA tested, but have not found matches on this branch. I guess I'll have to concentrate on the progress I've been making in Co. Mayo for the other side of the family for now. Jill

I have a Meath/Mayo marriage with one set of my grandparents also.

There seem to be quite a few Meath/Mayo couples!

Yes, my DNA is on GEDmatch but my Mayo/Meath sides don’t come together until 1940s Philadelphia, PA, USA. It’s interesting that there’s still that connection overseas!
