Roots Ireland had this record for James and using the mother's surname there were also these siblings: Patrick 1842 John 1844 Bridget 1846 Edward 1849 Mary 1852  Here is the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0148 I did not find the marriage record anywhere in Ireland on Roots. I did find an Edward Scully baptismal record in Streete RC parish whic h is a good deal to the northeast from Shrule so this may be a different person.

This looks like it could be a match except for Patrick Scully (1842). The Durham census records show my Patrick as being born between 1846 - 1848. I know census records aren't always accurate, are there any other records that could be a match for Patrick 1842? The siblings match the cronological order of those settling in Durham. Is it possible for you to search for Marriage/Immigration records for  John 1844 Bridget 1846 Edward 1849. possibly settling in Boston, Indiana or Pennsylvania  Do the names Sheehan or Mullen come up in any of the searches?

With regards to Edward (1820) and the baptism record you kindly found, are there any siblings possibly Andrew (1826) m Bridget Leonard, William Scully (1830) m Ann Cope and Bernard Scully (1819)?  The latter married a Johanna Rourke/Rouke and had family including Peter Scully (1866) m Anne Norton who lived in Carlow and settled in Durham. The former were all Scullys settling in quite a small area,in Durham, I'm convinced at lest some must be related but am drawing blanks as to how.

Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated :)

No siblings for the 1820 Edward. I did not see baptismal records for Andrew, William or Bernard. Many parishes do not have records back to the 1820s. Also, did not find marriage records for Andrew or William.
