We do not have a parish liaison in Leixlip or in any of the nearby parishes. Can you provide more info on your family and maybe we can locate some online records. If the family was RC, records for Leixlip RC parish start in 1844.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. This is some of information I have from a second cousin that lives in Minnesota.

Patrick Mc Cann was born in 1821 in Kildare and Rathangan, Kildare, Ireland, the son of Catherine and John. He married Mary Murphy and they had ten children together. He then married Mary-Anne O'Connor and they had seven children together. He died on May 3, 1897, in Colgan, Ontario, Canada, having lived a long life of 76 years, and was buried there.

I checked Roots Ireland and did not see a baptismal record or a marriage record for Patrick McCann. Surprising since the records for Kildare and Rathangan RC parish go back to 1815. You may want to review the parish register in case Roots missed the record.  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0709

Please find a copy of my Great Grandparenters wedding in 1866. Patrick McCann ans Mary O'Connor. We will be in Dublin on the 24th of Feburary.
