I am looking for information on John Brannon (Brennan?)  the son of Patrick Brannon (Brennan).  John was born in 1745, apparently in Stradbally  and came to America some time after that either alone or with his father. He is my ancestor through my mother, who was born in 1906.   My mother's father was Elija Lyman Brannon and I have traced his family back on the male side to John.  I would like to know about more about our ancestors in Ireland.  I will truly appreciate any help.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The RC parish for Stradbally is Kilcornan. Records for that parish start in 1837 almost 100 years after John was born. So records would not be available.

I also checked the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Stradbally parish and there were no Brennans listed.

Have you taken an autosomal DNA test? The test may identify Brennan matches which may help you identify additional information on your family.
