Hello ,
I am searching for any info on John Whyte
What I have so far :
John was born 11/4/1834 , son of John & Hannah ( Harte ) Whyte from Letterkenny.
possible siblings are Bernard & Bridget
He emmigrated to New Zeland in 1835.
Its not a lot ,but its a start ...anything would be greatly appreciated

You don't mention the religious denomination but the only Letterkenny church with records back to the 1830s would be the Presbyterian church. The RC and Church of Ireland records start later. I did search for a John White/Whyte baptismal record but did not find a record. No luck with a marriage record also.

You may want to consider autosomal DNA testing.
