I'm looking for information on Bartholomew Doherty, born in either 1871 or 1872 in Rowell and Meelin, County Cork. He married Julia Ellen Fitzpatrick on 31 JAN 1899 in Ballydesmond, Cork, Ireland. There is some confusion about how many children they had, and the names and birthdates of their children. My maternal grandfather was one of their children: Thomas Fitzpatrick Doherty, born 6 Aug 1903 • Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.

You should be able to find all the childrens birth registrations on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie under the civil records button, this will tell you how many children they had
The subscription site www.rootsireland.ie also has good records, found the baptism of Bartolomew there he was born on the 18 August 1872 in the townland of Rowel in Meelin
