Good Day, My Great Great Grandfather was Daniel Mahony/Mahoney born in Cork in 1815 approximately. I'm trying to find out if he had a brother Denis Mahony born about July 30, 1816 in Cork. Parents may possibly be John Mahoney & Mary Moriarty. Also trying to find out if Daniel and Denis are not brothers could they possibly be cousins. This may be a difficult one. Greatly appeciated.

I searched on the two sites that have Co. Cork church records: the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie which has the RC parish records for the Diocese of Cork and Ross and the subscription site Roots Ireland which has the RC church records for parishes in the Diocese of Cloyne. I was unable to locate a Denis or Daniel Mahoney baptismal record with a mother with the surname of Moriarty. A good number of Cork RC parishes do not have records back to 1815.
DNA testing may be beneficial.
