I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and there were no Peter Fisher baptismal records in the 1850s/early 1860s. You don't mention the religious denomination for the family but the 1901 census shows that all of the Fishers I located were RC.   RC records in Co. Donegal are very difficult to find pre-1860 which would explain not finding a baptismal record.

The 1857 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Donegal had twenty Fisher records. If we can determine his father's given name, it would help us to identify where your family was from in Donegal. If Peter stayed in Pennsylvania then his death record should be on Ancestry since Ancestry had PA deaths from 1906-1964 and parents names are provided . I took a quick look and did not see a record. Let me know.

Hi Roger, all were Roman Catholics.  I do have info on some of the Fisher family that settled in Pennsylvania.  I know his mother was Aggie (I'm assuming Agnes) Fisher (born in Ireland 1811) do not know her maiden name and I do not know his father, or Aggie's husband's name.  I've asked relatives, they don't either.  We've always been told that the Fisher's came from Donegal....but who knows.  I do know that when Peter Fisher came over he left from Glasgow on the Bolivia in 1878.  His mother followed him in 1881 but not sure where she departed from or ship name.  Mary Cassidy, his wife (whom he married while in PA in 1881; her parents were John Cassidy & Mary Haggerty (Haggerty, ??) -- I don't think they came to the US as far as I know and stayed in Ireland.....Donegal perhaps?
