Can you provide more details on John and Margaret? When did they marry? Children etc. I did a quick check on the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find a marriage record. Kilcornan RC records start in 1825.  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0874

I hit the send button too soon. Roots Ireland had six baptismal records for children of John Guerin and Margaret Lynch: John 1831 James 1831 Catherine 1834 Patrick 1837 Margaret 1839 Maria 1843. Let me know what else you need.

Hi Roger Thankyou for your reply. I did find the Baptismal records for John and Margarets children. I had John 1831 and as James is my great grandfather had from family 12 November 1832 and looking carefully found it was 1832. But could be wrong but makes more sense. Then had the same as you but had Thomas 1841 as can’t read the fathers name but looks like John and mother Margaret Lynch and fits in date wise between Margaret and Maria. Still could be wrong!  Spent a bit of time trolling the births deaths and marriages of any John Guerin and Margaret Lynch all over the counties not just Kilcornan but no luck so might not have been transcribed yet or just not there. Any other suggestions? Coming over in August so hopefully if allowed might be able to look at original records. I would have thought that the marriage would have been close to the birth of first child and around Kilcornan. James marriage cert. has him being born at Curraghchase and looking on google came up with Kilcornan Stonehall. Thanks so much for your help and time.  Regards Evelyn

I assume you are using the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie to look for civil birth, marriage and death records. Records for the Kilcornan parish area would be in the Rathkeale registration district. Birth records are available starting 1864, marriages 1870 and deaths 1878. In the coming months we expect the marriages and death records will be added back to 1864. I assume the marriage occurred in a parish which does not have records back to the 1820s.

Thanks Rodger. Have a subscription to RootsIreland but will look at other site. Just don’t think the records go back to early 1800’s yet.

Hi there. My name is Rosalie and my great aunt was married to a James Joesph Guerin he was born in 1882 and live in limerick for a few years then moved to the England where his sons grew up. James family came from Kilkenny. Ps his first wife died and he married again.
