Shields/Shiels/Schiels

Searching for information about Gillis Shields and sons.  Gillis was born about 1800 and had three sons James, Hugh and John.

John was born in 1831 and died in1864 in Schuylkill County, Pa in the United States.  He was married to Hanna Johnson and was a school teacher. He had three children: Maria,Hugh and Hanna. James Shields was born 1842 and died 1864 in Schuylkill County, PA in the United States. He was married to Catherine Tabey.  He was murdered in an altercation with a member of the Molly Maguires. He had a son James Nicholas Shields. Hugh was born in 1834 and was married to Elizabeth Gillespie. They had three children: John, Dominic, Mary Ann and Margaret.  thanks!
