I am looking for Robert Marshall who was born in Dyan and immigrated to Canada and then on to the United States. He lived in northern Vermont, the Westmore area, and died there. Believe he was born @1827and he dies in 1890. First wife was Mary Ann, second wife was Ann Ready. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I had a look in the tithe applotment records for Dyan in 1837, there were no Marshall farms there then, though if they were labourers or others without land, then they might have been there but not listed. No Marshalls there in Griffiths Valuation of 1860 or the 1901 census.
Next thing to search would be church records. You haven’t said what denomination Robert was. Do you know? The Church of Ireland for Aghaloo has records from 1791 onwards; Methodist baptisms from 1815 (their marriages were likely in the Church if Ireland); RC records only start in 1846 and there are 3 Presbyterian churches but the earliest of those only starts in 1829.
The Church of Ireland & Methodist records have been copied and both are held in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. They are not on-line so a personal visit is required to view them.
Were both his marriages in Ireland? I did see several Robert Marshall marriages to a Mary (Ann) around that time but without a surname for the bride it’s difficult to say if any is the right one. I searched for a marriage to Ann Ready (an unusual name in Ireland) but did not see it 1847 – 1867.

I think his marriage to Ann Ready may have occurred in Canada or Vermont, both wives are buried in VT. Ann Ready's father was William Ready, I believe he was from Ireland too. Thanks for your searchnand help, I really appreciate it.
