Peter Hoey and Esther Connolly

I descend from this family and would like to learn more, if possible.

Peter Hoey, was born c 1805 in County Armagh and died before 1864. He married Esther Connolly about 1831  Esther was born about1810 in County Armagh.  Esther died 9 mar 1900 in Meigh.  They had the following children and all are christening dates from the church in Meigh.

Bridget - 20 Jan 1834

John - 14 Apr 1836

Elizabeth - 4 Oct 1838

Myles - 21 Jan 1841

Anne - 11 Oct 1843; married Thomas McQuade in 1859 in Meigh

Margaret - 14 Nov 1846; died 19 Jan 1905, New York City, NY.  Married David McCracken about 1865 

Patrick - 28 Feb 1849; married Mary Anne Dowey on 22 Sep 1871 in Meigh

Peter - 25 Jan 1852

Michael 22 Sep 1854

There is no marriage record between Margaret and David.  Only one child lived to maturity and that was Delia McCracken, my great grandmother.  She married Herman Boettjer on 25 Dec 1877 in New York City.  Delia and Herman had seven children.

Anne and Thomas McQuade had ten children, some of whom also went to New York City.  They were Owen, Peter, Patrick, Sarah and Bernard.

I will make additional postings for Anne and Margaret.  I would like to learn more about those children that I only have a christening date for.  I have checked records as best I can from this side of the "pond."
