Hi,
I am interested in finding out if my GGGrandfather came from Wexford and if he had any siblings.
My GGGrandfather was named Patrick Boggan and the only information I have is the following: Patrick Boggan married Ellen Murphy in the Church at Glenbrien and that the father's were John Boggan & Patrick Murphy. THE Marriage certificate has there residence as Coolnaboy and Patrick as a Farm Labourer. Patrick and Ellen had a son called John born approx 1864 before they moved to Liverpool.
I was over in Ireland a few years ago and stayed in the Delaney pub in Oilgate from were I travelled around farms to try to find out if I could find any links. I also went to the Church in Glebrien were they got married. The indication from people in the Delaney pub at the time was that Boggan was not a common name for the area.
I have searched Ancestry, find my past and other sites and cannot get any info. I don't know if I am trying to hard.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The subscription site Roots Ireland has an 1842 Patrick Boggan Baptismal record in the Wexford town RC Parish. Parents were John Boggan and Catherine Reville. I checked for siblings and this Patrick had an older brother James 1840 plus three younger siblings: Anastasia 1844 Ellen 1847 John 1850. We don’t know if this is your family or another Boggan family.
John was born March 8 1865. https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1865/03581/2320181.pdf
