Jeremiah O Leary, Mallow Cork 1788 -1863

Several bunche's to search,  where you can find your needles!
Butttevant is just north of Mallow.
There is a Jeremah in Mallow in the townland of Ballyviniler Upper in 1823. This was listed in the Tithe records.
This is the map, it's about halfway between Mallow and Buttevant.

In 1851 there is a Daniel Leary at the same townland, his landlord iis William Sullivan.

Jeremiah left Ireland with his wife Bridget (O)Sullivan. Looking at your information, she may have been the (landlords) daughter! They resided in NSW Australia & had 12 children together. This is where the bunches of needles comes in. According to Ancestry.com, he had another 8 children in another relationship. There isn't much information regarding that as yet as I only want to glean information available in order to tread my ancestral origins where possible. We are both really excited to be going to Ireland & can hardly wait. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to go.

Hi Paul, as you are a member of Ancestry, you should see the Ireland records.
Were they Catholic?
Parish registers are in there and are updated from time to time. 
It just a matter then of going through the Parish books.
You should also see some early ship records, if you do get them from there, then go to your TROVE records, ships are listed and some have passenger lists.

1864 was when the Civil records were introduced in Ireland.

Mallow is a lovely town, beenn there loads of times.

Hi again,

I found a baptism record on the subscription site Rootsireland of what can possibly be the baptism of one of their sons

Arthur Leary baptised 13th November 1826 father Jeremiah Leary mother Bridget Sullivan from the address Ballylaught Mallow

Also the baptism of son Jeremiah Leary who was baptised 11 Nov 1828 at the address Ballyviniter Mallow (Ballyviniter is a townland around Mallow that consists of three parts, Ballyviniter Lower, Ballyviniter middle and Ballyviniter Upper)

Daughter Catherine baptised 20th Feb 1833 , Mallow full address not specified

Daughter Hanora baptised 13 March 1836 born in Ballyviniter

Looking at the tax payers records (http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/reels/tab//004625697/00…)  Jeremiah lived in Ballyviniter Upper and had 65 acres of ploughland at this address.
