Hello - I have a Walter Costello b. 1780 and found in the http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie 1823-1837 (I'm not sure of the year that they are listed, need to explore that) living in Currans. 2 children that I know of - Walter b. 1801 and Patrick b. abt 1814. I don't know the name of Walter's wife. Patrick emigrated to the Boston, MA area and is my 2 x GGF.
Patrick married Julia Tangney b. 1820 in Lisatigil - whose father is (Maurice) Michael Tangney b. 1780 and is on the same Tithe applotment page as Walter Costello in Currans. Michael Tangney's wife was Ellen Sullivan b. 1790 but I don't have any further information for her. Michael also emigrated to Boston.
So, these are the folks that I would love some help searching for their family: Walter Costello, Maurice Michael Tangney and his wife Ellen Sullivan.
Thanks so much.
Mary E. Curran - ( I know, crazy to be descended from people from Currans.)

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has the RC church records for Killeentierna. I located the marriage record for Maurice Tangney and Ellen Sullivan in 1816 and the Patrick Costello/Julia Tanginy marriage in 1840. Did not find Walter Costello's marriage or the baptismal records for sons Walter and Patrick. I assume they were baptized in another church because Killentierna baptismal records go back to 1801. Also, did not find a record for Julia Tangney.
