You might be interested in a post from Tom Breslin from San Francisco. He and I have been in touch for years and are still looking for the family connection. In addition, I have a photo of my Grandfather, David Michael Brislane (Breslin) with Daniel Sullivan dating to the early 1900's.
Both photos above were emailed to us by Tom Breslin (tombreslinsf@yahoo.com). The first photo is of his Great Great Grandfather, Jeremiah Brislane – Breslin. He was born in 1837 the son of Thomas Brislane and Elizabeth Carrol, from Coolnahilla. Jeremiah arrived in the New York area about 1860 and served in the Union Army in the American Civil War. The second photo is of Fr. Lawrence Breslin, Jeremiah's cousin (1st or 2nd). Lawrence was born on March 3rd, 1849, the youngest child of Thomas Brislane and Catherine Walsh. Lawrence was born at Coolnahilla, and schooled at Mt Melleray before entering All Hollows Seminary. He was ordained 24th of June 1873 for the San Francisco Diocese and worked in Salt Lake City before becoming the founding rector of St Paul's Parish in San Francisco. He died 27 Nov 1890.
I hope this helps you in your search.

This is great, thank you very much! Is Daniel Sullivan a relative of Julia or Thomas?

Hi Liz:
I don't really see a Julia or Thomas with Daniel, but, I did notice something on the tree that a cousin, Anne Sullivan of Liscarroll shared with me some time ago. One of my Grandfather's brothers, Thomas Brislane married Mary Brennen. One of their daughters, Hannah Brislane married Daniel Sullivan. Anne Sullivan, my cousin, is their daughter. Anne's father Daniel had a sister Mary Sullivan that married John Carroll. Maybe Anne can help if she reads this thread.

Hi Probably no relation - but as it's not an exceptionally common name,
I thought I'd post here to see if there are any connections - my mother was Brislane - family were from Coologue in Co. Tipperary.
