Christina McCarthy from Cork City

I am trying to find my information about my Grandmother Christina Margaret McCarthy she was baptized at the church of St Anne Shandon probably around 1880-90 .She immigrated to the USA .She was the oldest sister her other siblings were Bridget,Anne,Jamie.
According to family lore her brothers were SinnFein and possibly blew up the family home and then went underground.Her youngest brother was badly injured by the Black and Tans and never left home.
