My GG-Grandparents, James Wynn & Bridget Jennings were married in Dromard & Skreen Parish on 16 Jan 1853, according to the Register of Marriages in Dromard and Skreen (parish), page 28. This was shortly before they emmigrated for Pennsylvania.
Groom's address was listed as "Atlanchick" and bride's as "Laughane". I've not been able to locate either of these.
James obituary said he was born in Co. Sligo in 1819, but census estimates give 1822 - 1825. One possible record for him indicates he could have been born as late as 1832.
The best match for Bridget is that she was born in 1831 in Ardnaree, Co. Mayo, Kilmoremoy parish. This might not be the right person, but is consistent with her birth estimates from the census & her grave marker (1830 - 1835).
Is there anyone with local knowledge who might be able to point me to something to substantiate (or correct) this?
Thanks,
Bob Faulkner.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The two townlands were likely Altanelvick and Loughanncrannoge both in Dromard civil parish.
Possible record for Bridget Jennings from the subscription site Roots Ireland.

You may want to add the emigration story for James and Bridget to our XO Chronicles site and possibly someone will see a connection https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
Have you considered DNA testing?

Roger,
Thanks for the pointer to the Roots Ireland data. The location is a better match to my Bridget than the Bridget in Kilmoremoy parish, although the Kilmoremoy Bridget is a better match to age. However, I have other Irish ancestors from this same era who also have a broad range of when they were actually born based on the various records they left behind.
James & Bridget's story is already on the Chronicles site (see "James Wynn" under Co. Sligo.)
I have done Ancestry DNA. No Irish cousins have shown up yet, though it does show I have about 25% Irish ancestry.
Thanks,

Bob:
You can also load your raw Ancestry DNA data to a volunteer site called Genesis Gedmatch www.genesis.gedmatch.com Genesis will provide matches with people who tested with other companies and also loaded their data to Genesis Gedmatch.
