Thank you for responding. Your James Conway entry looks promising. I failed to mention the name of James' son. It is Michael..... the same name as James' father as you indicated.

We also have a Patrick (Conway) who descended many years later. 

Our Michael (son of James) married Mary Anne Robinson, daughter of John Robinson and ? Rafferty.

The informants you indictated for Patrick (your entry) also have the surname Robinson possibly leading to a connection through the Robinson name.

Our family lore is that one our Conway ancestors was a stowaway aboard a ship to the new world. Most likely that would have been our Michael who would have been appox. 20 years ago at the time of the great famine. A photo of his tombstone is attached.
