My grandfather was Christopher Carr, born 1902. His father was James Carr (died 1915). His mother was Catherine Tyrell. James and Catherine were married in Kinnegad chapel on September 14, 1889. Catherine was previously married to Bernard Farrell who died around 1881. I would love any addition information about Catherine Tyrell and James Carr’s parents. Also cannot find any information on Catherine’s death. Cannot find any information regarding burial site.
Thank you for any assistance!

Pam:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Below are links to both civil marriage records for Catherine Tyrell. Both records indicate that her father was John and he was deceased by 1878. The subscription site Roots Ireland has her likely baptismal record. See below. Like you, I was unable to find a civil death record for Catherine. Either her death was not registered, she was living in Ireland but outside the Mullingar registration district or possibly she emigrated.
James Carr's father was Patt as shown on the marriage record. I was unable to locate a baptismal record for James.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Roger,
Thank you for the information. I did not have Catherine’s baptismal information, so that confirms year of birth! I know she did not emigrate, although all her children went to America. Her daughter Jane stayed in the area and married Patrick Russell. I am guessing she died in the 1930s, but I have no proof.
Family lore spoke of Catherine spending a year in Montevideo, Uruguay. My research show that many from the Midlands did emigrate to South America, but again can find no record of her going.
Thank you again,
Pam Alusick
