We are looking for the parents of Daniel Looney (or Lunney) born in/near Macroom, Co. Cork, approx. 1794. He was married to Mary Connell or O'Connell, who was also from Co. Cork and who was also born in the late 1790's or early 1800's. They had several children...Daniel, Hanora, Julia, Michael...and I am not familiar with the rest of the names. Thank You, MM

Hello again!
The subscription site Roots Ireland shows eight baptismal records for children of Daniel Looney and Mary Connell. Ann 1814 Honora 1816 Michael 1819 Mary 1821 Ellen 1825 Daniel 1828 Julia 1835 John 1834 Below is the transcription for the youngest child John. The family was living in Teerbeg townland in Clondrohid parish which is just north of Macroom parish. Did the family stay in Ireland?I did not find the marriage record and Macroom records start in 1805 so a record for Daniel is not available.

Thank You, Roger, Lots of distractions over the past 2 years, but I wanted to thank you for the information that you were able to find in 2019. I have learned that the family did eventually move to the US, New York, and Massachusetts, and that Julia, who was baptized in 1835, became my Great Great Grandmother, Julia Looney McCann.
Now, all we have to do is find the family of her husband, John McCann, born in Co. Cavan approx. 1832. It is possible that his father's name was Owen. Wish us some luck and keep your fingers crossed!!
Thank You Again, we appreciate the work that you do.
