  • Hello again Chris!

I was not able to find many of the older records on the subscription site Roots Ireland. I did find a baptismal record for a younger brother of Patrick--James. Tubber is the parish to the east of Moate/Mount Temple.  I did not find the marriage record for Patrick Herbert and Ann Houlihan but located five baptismal records for their children See below. They moved around a lot.

  • Hi Roger, Thank you AGAIN!!  I am terribly confused by locations in Ireland.  So, all these baptisms are not from Co Westmeath? Thank you so much for all the information, Chris

  • Chris:

The first two baptisms were in Westmeath, the third was in Co. Laois (Queens Co. in the 19th century) which is south of Westmeath and then the last two were in Co. Monaghan which is much further north. I assume the records are for the same couple. The names are not that common. More than likely, Patrick was in the military like his father or possibly he was a constable.
