Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Unfortunately, the RC records for Kilglass start very late--1865. So no records would exist for Edward and his brothers.
I looked at the Tithe listings from 1833 and saw there were a James Monaghan and a Francis Monaghan living in Tully townland and a Martin Monaghan in Drummin More townland. The 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing does not show any Monaghan entries but there was a Thomas Morahan in Drummin More townland. See links

You may also want to add Edward's story to our XO Chronicles site and possibly someone will see a connection https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-database

Roger. Thank you very much for your reply. Sorry for delay but Had difficulty on my mobile working how to reply to you. Thanks for the information and I know information is scarce. Indeed, a researcher at an Edinburgh Family Center suggested this web site as now is better than ever to push the Irish ancestry quest. I will read your links with interest. Thanks. Paul
