Hi!

To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, we are taking our two sons and their familes (10 of us total) to Ireland in June 2020. We will be staying in Dingle.

I believe my great-grandfather, Cornelius Shea (Nov 1833 - 28 Jan 1883) was baptised in  Annascaul and his parents (John Shea and Ellen Long) were living in Glannaheera.  Cornelius emigrated to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada sometime before 1858 since he married my great-grandmother, Mary Kane in Ottawa in 1858.

Mary also may be from County Kerry. I thought I had 'found' her baptismal record (all Roman Catholic) in Killentierna, possibly Parksmutane or Cragg in 1842 (daughter of Thaddeus Kane/Mary Lyne) UNTIL I found a Canada to US border crossing record from 1913 that said she was from County Galway.

In various IrelandXO posts, I've seen other families who have visited their Irish roots. It would be absolutely wonderful if our family could visit Glannaheera and Annascaul (and possibly Killintierna, too) when we are there! Any help would be great appreciated.  Please let me know if you have questions.

    It could be just a coincidence but Killeentierna is not far from Crag Cave.

    3 There are 4 Crag townlands in Kerry https://www.logainm.ie/en/s?txt=crag&str=on 

    I know a few people in Annascaul but no Shea or Long. Annascaul is easy to find and visit but the smaller townlands could be difficult. (They could just be fields at this time. ) Google maps or GPS would be a great help with the smaller townlands.
