I could really use some help with my GGGrandfather. I am at a standstill. Any help would be appreciated. John (possibly Joseph middlename) was born in Ireland in 1835. Here is a copy of what I think I have for him. Please see attached PDF. My challenge is that John's wife Mary Delany appears to be too young to be the mother of his first two children. I'm beginning to think that he had another wife in Ireland and she possibly died in Ireland before he came to America. I cannot find a naturalization record, death record or his marriage to Mary Delaney. Can someone help me or ask me some questions that I might have to research to get this off the ground, please? Co. Cork RC records can be found on two sites. The Diocese of Cork and Ross parishes are on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie Parishes for the Diocese of Cloyne are on the subscritpion site Roots Ireland. I was unable to locate a John Doyle Mary Delaney marriage record. I tried a number of searches with no success in Co. Cork. i found a possible lead in Bandon for Patrick Doyle but there was no corresponding Maria Doyle baptismal record with the same parents.
Maybe another volunteer will have some better success.

Roger, thank you for looking. Mary Shea might be John's first wife. Because of the age of Patrick i am thinking that John may have been married to another women, Possibly Mary Shea. She could have died in Ireland and then John could have married Mary Delaney in the US. To date, I have not been able to find a US marriage record for John Doyle and Mary Delaney. I think Mary Delaney may be too you to be Patrick and Maria's daughter.
I will look for marriage record for John and Mary Shea in Ireland. Thanks for your help. Larry
