My great grandad Wiiam McGrath was born in Nohill Parish, County Leitrim in 1839, I am looking for any living relatives and or any helpful information.
My great grandad came over to England as a young man. His father was Richard McGrath, he was an officer in the British Army, and a Pharmacist.

I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find a William McGrath baptismal record in Co. Leitrim with father Richard. I expanded the search to all of Ireland. The closest record was an 1835 record in Co. Carlow and no indication the father was in the British Army.. The mother's name was Bridget Murphy. Mohill RC baptismal records start in 1836 so it is possible William was born prior to 1836.
Any additional info?

Thankyou. I have all the information about William on my family tree which I have been working on for many years. I have English censuses which from when he came over to live in Swindon. I also found a birth record but no baptismal record. I have a marriage certificate and various other documents too.
