There's a marriage on the free irishGenealogy website of an Ellen Cullen to a Laurence O'Connor on the 15th September 1907 at the Catholic Church in Wexford town. It's the first marriage for both, reported age 29 for the groom and 27 for the bride. The groom's occupation is labourer and his residence at the time is Maudlintown(*), his father's name is also Laurence a Tailor. The bride's residence is Bride Street, Wexford (town), and her father is James Cullen, an army pensioner who was deceased at the time of marriage.
A likely match or the couple are shown on the 1911 census at Bride Street in Wexford town along with their young daughter Mary Ellen.
There's also a probable match for Ellen on the 1901 census on the same street on the 1901 census, also at the address is her Mother Anne Cullen a widow. The best match for Laurence snr. on the 1901 census is at Irish Street, Enniscorthy in Co. Wexford, so about 25 km from Wexford town, Laurence snr. is shown as a widower.
The groom's family appears to have moved to Faythe Street (the Faythe) in Wexford town with a Whitty household, who are in-laws, by the time of the 1911 census - also at the address in Laurence jnr's brother Martin and sister Nellie.
I also located the death of Ellen's father James Cullen at Bride Street Wexford town on the 6th August 1893, his occupation matches "Army Pensioner", married, reported age 61 (born c1832), cause of death Bronchitis 14 days, the informant is Annie Cullen with her mark, described as 'widow of the deceased'.
* Maudlintown townland is located near the town of Wellingtonbridge abt 20 km to the west of Wexford town.

Thank you shanew147. This is information I can pass on to my siblings and children. We migrated to Australia in 1950 and both my parents have since passed, I have managed to get in touch with the Whittey family, but have only had limited information. You have opened up sdo many paths for me. We are hoping for a trip to Beautiful Eire sometime next year. Thank you once again
