My Great grandfather was James Carroll of Kildimo he came to New York city where he met (probably knew in Kildimo) Margaret Roche-also of Kildimo. They did not come over together from what I see. James father was Michael Carroll born 19 Jan 1848 Kildimo. His mother was Catherine Nealon-known as Kate. She was born in 1852 in Kildimo.

Micheal's father was Patrick Carroll-who I do not know when he was born, etc except that Michael's mother was Maria/Mary Fitzgibbon. Michael and Catherine were married on 31 July 1870 In Kildimo with the witnesses- Peter Kennedy and Margaret Nealon.

I would like to know more of Patrick Carroll and Maria/mary Fitzgibbon's information and family-if possible.

    Likely Patrick Carroll was born before 1831 in Kildimo so a record would not be available. There are many Mary/Maria Fitzgibbons baptismal records in Co. Limerick on the subscription site Roots Ireland, however, none in Kildimo. If Maria was baptized in Kildimo it would have been before 1831 and a record is not available. She may have been baptized in a nearby parish but we would need to know her parents names to find a record.

    Here is the info I have so far on Michael carroll and family. The picture I added on my aunt Cecilia Carroll-she was the one who went over to Ireland in 1976 to visit the family there in the Kildimo area.
