I think Thomas Niland was born in 1790 in Galway, Ireland. He had two sons with Anne O'Neil between 1820 and 1835. He died in 1863 in his hometown at the age of 73. He is listed with his oldest son, Patrick, on Griffith's valuation :

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The RC parish would be Clarinbridge and baptismal records for that parish start in 1854 although marriage records start in June 1837. I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and found two Patrick Niland marriage records in Clarinbridge. See below. Not sure which record pertains to your ancestor. I also checked the 1901 census and located one Niland family in Stradbally North. Not sure how they connect to Thomas Niland.

Thank you! I'm not sure about these, but I'll pursue.
