Hi,

I'm hoping someone local might be able to help me. In 1901, my great grandaunt Joanna(josie) Desmond from Dungourney married James J Murphy from Ballybraher, Cloyne. In the 1901 census they were in Rock Street, with James as the Druggist no children. They don't seem to be around Cloyne in the 1911 census. I've had no luck tracing them beyond 1901. Any information about them would be very grateful as i'm trying to fill out the family tree. Thanks

    Greetings to you Liam,

    I have read your query above - looked up their Wedding Cert - see attached.
    I also found a death notice - would it be his wife in 1916, I can't make out her Christian
    name but it states her husband as being a Medicial Officer.

    www.irishgenealogy.ie may be of help to you - did he remarry????
