My 3x G. Grandfather John Lyne/Lyon/Lyons/ Lynes emigrated from Tracton to America most likely during the great exodus during the Famine crisis around 1848-1853. He married Catherine Callahan/Callaghan. Looking for their marriage record.
They had 7 known children Mary born in 1831; Margaret born in 1832; Catherine born in 1835; Ellen born in 1842; Timothy born 1839, Timothy 1844, another child Ellen whom I believe died in infancy(date unknown). Wondering if there are any more children?
My 2x G. Grandmother Catherine born in 1840 (US records) I believe may be Catherine born in 1835 but I am not sure. Have not found a record with that date .
My 3x G Grandfather's parents are possibly Timothy Lyne and Mary McCarthy (I have his death record which states Timothy Lynes and Mary Lynes. Someone found something that said his parents were possibly Timothy Lyne and Mary McCarthy) Going by these parents for John , I am trying to find that record. US Record has him born in 1803 . However , he may have been earlier than what is known.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello Roby,
You have shared three posts on your ancestors from Tracton Abbey parish. Those Church Records are free to view online. Go to churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie. A link at the bottom of the page will take you to the original handwritten entry.
Baptisms were recorded from 1802-1880 & Marriages 1841-1880 for this parish. Dates for other areas vary. Civil Records began in 1864.
Timothy Lyne and Mary McCarthy had three children; Patrick 1803; Mary 1806 & Timothy 1809. I cannot see a son John but he may have been born pre 1802.
And John Lynn and Catherine Callahan married before records were kept.
Several Catherine Callahan’s and Callaghan’s in this and adjoining parishes. I cannot be sure which girl married John Lyne but the closest match appears to be Catherine baptised 27/06/1840 to John Callaghan & Mary Lombard.
Children of John and Catherine include: Mary 27/01/1831, Margaret 27/08/1832, Ellen 06/07/1842 and Julia 14/07/1845. Others may show up if you vary the surname spelling.
Have you noticed the boxes at the top of this page on IrelandXO? By entering Cork in the county box, then Tracton in the parish box, you will see other queries posted on local families.
