Hello, I am trying to find about more about my family. My GGP's were John Reynolds(1874-????) and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Reynolds (maiden "Murphy') 1872 -1949. I know they were born in Ireland ( I think Armargh,OMAGH, Mayo) immigrated to the U.S. and resided in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. My grandmother (Mary A. Reynolds) was born (1891) in Philadelphia. My mother Teresa (1926) is still living at the age of 95!! I am blessed!! 

I would love to find out more so I can share it with my Mom, who now has 6 grand children and 5 Great Grandchilden of her own.

    I told my mother that you responded and she was so happy, so thank you for that!

    My mom doesn't recall to much of John and Elizabeth but she did say that "She remembers being told that Elizabeth had alot of sisters and that they never came to America?"

    Frank McGrory 'Adopted Son' was just that. My GGM 'Elizabeth' was asked by her friend who was dying if she would raise FRANCIS 'Frank' and she agreed. My mother said they truly adored each other and he simply was 'Uncle Francis' to her (Teresa).

    You had written:  I have searched every birth of a John Reynolds in 1872 in the whole of Ireland and none of them have parents called Terrence and Anna McBennett.  I began searching Terenace and Anna also. I found a Terence RONAGHAN and Anne McBennett married in Armargh on 15-Sep-1868. I wondered if the name changed coming over to the U.S?

    Duffy/Cummins :

    My Grandmother (Mary A. Reynolds) married twice: 

    Her 1st husband was Joseph W. Rice and had 1 son John Rice

    1.) Mary A. and 2nd husband Charles W. Duffy (1893-1929) and had 3 children, Charles Duffy (1922-1926) , Marie (Duffy) Kennelly (1919-deceased) and Teresa Duffy(mom1926-living). 

    2.) Charles W. Duffy Parents (Teresa's Paternal GP) were: Charles Duffy (1867-1926) and Bridget Cummins (1866-1936). They had  about 10 children 6 Boys/4 Girls

    3.) Charles W. Duffy Parents were: Michael Duffy and Anna O'Donnell

    4.) Bridget Cummins Parents were: Charles Cummins and Ellen Huffy
