Richard and Margaret (Heany) are my great-great grandparents. They were married in St. Finbarr's Church October 7, 1848. They had seven children, all of whom were born in Cork: Stephen (b. 1849) Sarah (b. 1854) Catherine (b. 1856) Richard (b. 1858) Henry (b. 1863) Eliza (b. 1864) and Anna (b. 1867). Stephen is my great-grandfather.

By the 1870's the entire family had moved to the United States, settling in Eastchester/Tuckahoe, NY. Many of the men worked in the Tuckahoe marble quarries.

I would like to know the names of Richard's and Margaret's parents and siblings (if any). It's possible that Richard may have been born in county Tipperary because I have a close DNA link to the Grants of Tipperary, but no positive information. Any help would be appreciated.

    I did not find a baptismal record for a Richard Grant in Co. Cork around 1824. I looked at the subscription site Roots Ireland and located an 1820 Richard Grant baptismal record in Templemore parish in Tipperary. Roots Ireland does not have all the records for parishes in Co. Tipperary. I did not see any good leads for baptismal records for Margaret Heany.
